Current project work
Online customer services for a Tasmanian Government agency
A customer portal for registration, licensing, moorings and commercial-vessel services, reached securely from the Tasmanian Government’s online services gateway, with a separate portal for government service centre staff and approved agencies.
- Portal Registration, licensing, moorings and commercial-vessel services, available to customers online
- Integrated Secure, seamless access from the Tasmanian Government’s online services gateway into the portal
- Shared Controlled access to relevant information for government service centre staff and approved agencies such as Police and Fisheries
- Modernised Legacy applications rebuilt as maintainable web applications
Guest Wi-Fi kept separate from the office network
A wireless network for a community organisation, segmented so that guest access is kept apart from the main office network.
A network rebuilt after equipment failure
When network equipment failed at a sporting organisation, we replaced and reconfigured the infrastructure with managed network hardware, giving clearer visibility of the network.

Not-for-profit and community organisations
Not-for-profits are an established part of our client base, and receive a 10% discount.
We recommend what is practical and appropriate for each organisation, and explain the reasoning in plain language.

- On site by arrangement
- Launceston, Devonport, Burnie and the north-west coast
- Remote support anywhere in Australia, with part of our team in Sydney
- Software clients can be anywhere, and several are looked after entirely remotely
Questions we are often asked
More answers are on our questions page.
Can you help if we already have an IT person or provider?
Yes, and it happens regularly. We can take on a single project, such as a software build or a migration, while your existing provider continues the day-to-day work, or help an IT person on staff with work outside their own experience.
How quickly do you respond when something stops working?
Every support request is triaged the same business day. Anything that stops people working goes to the front of the queue, and everything else is scheduled.
Do you only work with Microsoft products?
No, although Microsoft is where our deepest experience sits. We have been a Microsoft Partner since 2002, and much of our work involves Windows, Microsoft 365 and SQL Server. We also support a considerable amount of Apple hardware.
Do you support home computers?
No. Our IT support is for organisations, typically small-to-medium ones without a complete IT department of their own. We do not support home or personal computers.
Do you build websites?
No. We build web applications, such as customer portals and internal systems, but not websites. Website work is referred to The Tasmanian Web Company.
